For so many people it is hard to know if they are really hearing God and what they are called to do in life. There are a few things we need to understand about this . We must recognize that God will only tell us to do things that will be a blessing to others as well as ourselves. Any act they may hurt or set someone else back is not a direction from God. We must also understand that our purpose does not have to be deep and spiritual. God gives us gifts and talents. The things we are naturally good at and have a passion for come from God. We are called to use these gifts to both impact the world and spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

The Apostle Paul didnt know his purpose was to spread the Gospel at the time he was persecuting Christians. (Book of Acts)God called him in the middle of his sin and mess and changed his life. Many times we wont recognize our purpose right away, it takes God to redirect our attention. If you are struggling to find your purpose you must first find God. The more we understand about who he, the more we will understand our purpose.

This series will explore the lives of biblical people and how they came about understanding their purpose and hearing Gods voice. I want to encourage you to make comments and send me your questions. This is just an introduction into our purpose series. My prayer is that you will better understand who you are and what you can accomplish by understanding who God is and what he wants to do in your life. God is real and he is not far away. He desires a close relationship with you and he hears your prayers. Many times God's voice comes through his blessings and doors that will open in your life. We must pay attention to the connections and people God brings to guide us in the right direction. Stay tuned for our series starting this Thursday.

God Bless,

Pastor Anthony

Get Hope Get Success!

Where is your Hope? Hebrews 10:23 & Romans 8:25

We had a wonderful service this Sunday! We talked about the importance of hope and how it is fundamental to our success in God and fulfilling our purpose. I just wanted to share tonight that if you are struggling in any area of your life or you simply feel like you will never make it, there is hope. God wants to see you succeed. His desire is for you to fulfill every promise that he has made you. When you feel like all hope is lost be encouraged that God is still in your corner. Our hope and Faith in God should allow us to speak to our mountains and storms and expect change. God gives us the ability to go through and come out on top through our Faith. The more of God's Word you get on the inside the more confident you will feel. If you are trying to fight a battle running on empty you will lose everytime. Allow God to fill you with his wisdom and peace. I want you to know that I am praying for you and I am trusting in God that you will finish everything you set out to accomplish.

Let today be the day you choose to trust God in every area of your life. Let today be the day that you become a victor. I want you to stand on every Word God has spoken to you even when you hear the opposite. Position yourself to recieve the promises and blessings of God by expecting them. Remember we have the power to walk into our destiny inspite of our circumstances by simply choosing to Hope and trust in God.

God Bless,

Pastor Anthony

http://www.calledministries.org/

When things just wont work out

God Completes Every Project: Phillipians 1:6

Today the church was supposed to have a car wash to raise money for our new building and youth ministry. We really needed to have the fundraiser today and it set us back about a week. Because the weather is so bad today we were forced to make other plans. How many times in your life have you had an unforseen setback. We make plans sometimes and we put alot of work into preparing for things only to find out that something fell through.

I'm reminded of the children of Isreal who knew God had a plan for their life but faced many setbacks (Book of Exodus). Some of there problems they caused and some came from the enemy. But in the end they made it to the place God had promised. They lost many along the way and suffered some emotional scars as well as physical , but they made it. It is important for us to remember that our focus should be on the end result and not on the problems that come in between. When God gives us a vision for our life he knows that the middle is going to be rough and there may be some setbacks. When these things happen we must remind ourselves that God finishes everything he starts. God does not give up on us because we make mistakes or because someone tries to throw a wrench in our plans. God fights for his people in every situation. I want to encourage you to speak the promises of God when things look like they are going the other direction.

When setbacks occur we must work to find new solutions and solve the problems that may be hindering progress. In order to do this we must take giving up out of the picture. Giving up should not even be a possible solution. I want to encourage you to work around setbacks and find new ways to make the vision happen. Our church has planned a new fundraising date and will work to make it successful. We can't dwell on the weather occuring today because we must concentrate on the possibilities of tommorow.

God Bless!

Pastor Anthony

Getting a FRESH START by tackling OLD problems

Renewing your mind: Romans 12:2

I have learned that we will continue to have the same experiences in life until we react differently to them. Our goal as Christians should be to strive to make the best choices when encountered with bad situations. Many times we simply need to change the way we react. There will always be a situation or two in our life but our goal is to remember that we have help through Christ and our problems are only temporary. I am excited because the more we grow in Christ the better decisions we will make. This requires spending time with him daily and allowing ourselves to be lead by the holy spirit. I want to encourage you to deal with situations not with emotions but with God's wisdom. You can tackle an old problem by renewing your thought process. Going down the same road does not have to mean you have take the same turns.

Be Blessed!

Pastor Anthony

Welcome!

I am so excited to share with you the power of God and what he can do in your life.
